Voxxa
Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 5, 2026
Voxxa is a translation keyboard app. This policy explains what information we handle, what we do not collect, and how third-party services are used when you translate text.
1. What we collect
- Device ID — An anonymous identifier sent with translation requests for rate limiting only. It is not tied to your name, account, or personal identity.
- Language preferences — Stored locally on your device (for example, native and target languages). They are not uploaded to our servers as a profile.
- Daily usage count — Tracked so we can enforce free daily translation limits. The count used for limiting is associated only with the anonymous device ID and resets each day. Your app may also keep a local usage count on the device.
2. What we do not collect
- The text you type or translate — We do not store your typed or translated content on our servers for analytics, profiling, or later retrieval.
- Personal identity information — We do not collect your name, email, phone number, or account credentials through the keyboard.
- Contacts, messages, or communication content — Voxxa does not access or store your contacts, SMS, chat history, or other personal communications.
3. Third-party services
To provide translation and styling, requests may be processed by:
- DeepL API — Used for translation.
- Google Gemini AI — Used for translation styling / tone rewrite when that feature is enabled.
- Railway — Hosts the Voxxa translation proxy server.
Text sent for translation is processed by these providers only as needed to fulfill your request, subject to their own privacy policies and terms.
4. Data retention
- The anonymous device ID is used only for daily rate limiting. Usage counts reset daily; we do not retain long-term personal histories.
- No personal data is stored on our servers. Language preferences and on-device usage displays remain on your device.
